Smart and scheduled charging

Charging choices

ChoiceWhat it does
Charge nowStarts charging immediately
ScheduleSets one session between a start and end time
SmartUses the dynamic price chart to choose charging periods

The app shows Charge now and one other choice: Schedule for a fixed or missing tariff, or Smart for a dynamic tariff.

Schedule charging

  1. Open the charger and connector.
  2. Choose Schedule.
  3. Select the start and end time.
  4. Confirm.
  5. Leave the vehicle plugged in.

The charger must stay online until the scheduled time.

Smart Charging

  1. Open a connector with a dynamic tariff.
  2. Choose Smart.
  3. Review the price chart and suggested periods.
  4. Select or clear periods on the chart.
  5. Review the energy, estimated cost, average price, and savings.
  6. Confirm.

The final cost can differ from the estimate because prices, charger power, site limits, and vehicle demand can change.

Automatic charging for charger owners

Open Charger settings → Automation. Configure each connector as:

  • Instant — start when the automatic access condition is met;
  • Recurring schedule — use the same daily start and end time; or
  • Smart — use a dynamic tariff, selected vehicle, and daily ready time.

Smart automation is disabled until the account has a vehicle and the connector has a dynamic tariff. Choose Apply to save the connector settings.

Common problems

Smart is not shown

The connector may not have a dynamic tariff, or market prices may be unavailable. Smart automation also requires a vehicle.

Charging was slower than expected

The charger, vehicle, site Power Management, or another charging profile may have reduced the power.
