Public charging payment
Choose how the workspace receives payment for public charging. This is separate from paying for an EVCharge subscription.
Open Workspaces, select the workspace, and find Payment settings on the Info tab.
Payment choices
| Choice | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Stripe | Card payments processed with your Stripe account |
| Bank transfer | Bank details used for transfers and payouts |
Configure Stripe
- Select Stripe.
- Enter the Stripe publishable key.
- Enter the Stripe secret key. Test and live keys cannot be mixed.
- Enter your public Terms and Conditions URL.
- Save.
The portal verifies the secret key before saving it. A stored secret is not shown again; only enter a new one when changing it.
Some migrated accounts also show a Stripe Connect status card. If it asks for information, choose Update Stripe information and complete Stripe's form.
Never send Stripe secret keys through email, chat, or support messages.
Configure bank transfer
Enter:
- account holder;
- IBAN;
- bank name;
- SWIFT/BIC.
Bank transfer does not create an in-app Stripe card payment.
Public charging
Payment setup is only one requirement. A public charger also needs:
- site coordinates;
- a tariff for every connector;
- access to the public-charging feature.
Common problems
Stripe credentials do not save
Check that both keys are valid and use the same test or live mode. If a Stripe Connect notice appears, complete the requested update.
Bank details do not save
Check the IBAN, account holder, bank name, and SWIFT/BIC.
The charger still shows missing payment
Save the payment settings, then reload the charger Publicity tab.
Subscription billing, when enabled for an account, is separate from the public-charging payment setup described here.
