Start and stop charging
Before charging
Check that:
- you selected the correct connector;
- the charger is online;
- the connector is available;
- your vehicle is plugged in when required;
- you have access to a private charger.
Start private charging
- Open Chargers.
- Select the charger and connector.
- Plug in the vehicle.
- Optionally select a vehicle in the app.
- Choose Charge now, Schedule, or Smart when available.
- Confirm the start.
The second choice is Schedule for a fixed or missing tariff, or Smart for a dynamic tariff. Wait for the charger status to change before trying again.
Start public paid charging
- Open the charger from the map or QR code.
- Select the connector.
- Review the price.
- Choose Start charging.
- Accept the charging terms.
- Complete the Stripe payment sheet if card payment is required.
- Wait for charging to start.
Do not repeat the payment while the first request is still processing.
During charging
The app can show:
- start time;
- power;
- energy used;
- current cost;
- vehicle battery level when available.
Values can update with a short delay and depend on meter or vehicle data supplied to the platform.
Tagless charging
If the operator enabled Tagless, connect the same supported vehicle in EVCharge and Tagless using the same VIN. Make sure your account has charger access, plug in, keep the vehicle online, and wait for automatic identification. Charging current may change briefly during identification.
Stop charging
- Open the active session.
- Choose Stop.
- Confirm.
- Wait until the charger says the session has ended.
- Unplug the cable.
If it does not work
Refresh once and check the charger status, cable, access, tariff, and payment result. Save the charger, connector, time, and error before contacting support.
If the cable stays locked, do not force it. Contact the charger operator.
